12-Step Group for Partners of Sex Addicts

There is a new 12-step telephone meeting. Infidelity Survivors Anonymous (ISA) has started a telephone meeting for partners who are in recovery.

The meeting takes place every Thursday evening at 9:00 pm Central. The conference dial-in number is (760) 984-1000. The participant access code is 347560#.

ISA is unique in that the focus is on infidelity induced trauma.

The ISA fellowship was created to support individuals who have suffered the consequences of any one of the following betrayals in a relationship:

  • Sexual or Emotional Affairs
  • Pornography and Cybersex
  • Compulsive Sexual Behavior / Sexual Addiction (e.g., prostitution, strip clubs, massage parlors, adult bookstores)
  • Other Deviant Sexual Behavior

For more information about ISA go to www.isurvivors.org. If you know of someone who might benefit from this meeting, please direct them to this blog.

Thank you for starting ISA. Thank you…this could not have come at a better time.

(Note from Milton Magness: I will pass your comment along to the people who started this important new 12-step group)

Thank you for informing us about ISA, Milton Magness! I first heard about it through your newsletter. It is so refreshing and very much needed for partners suffering from trauma.

I wanted to let you know, in the 2 newslettters that were sent out, it listed a different partcipant access code (457560) than what is here and on the ISA website (347560#). During the first week, myself and about 4-5 others partners used the passcode from the newsletter, and we unfortunently were unable to get through to the real phone conference. We waited for quite some time and talked a bit about good books for partners, then everyone began to leave and came to the conclusion perhaps the meeting wasn’t on.

I then worked out later that it was becasue the access code wasn’t right, and now I have been able to partcipate in the real meeting. I am so grateful and appreciative for ISA, at the moment it feels like a lifeline for me. I am concerned though, that many of the other partners who recieved your newsletter who originally called up with me, may still not know they need to use the different code. I have no way of contacting them to let them know.

Just wanted to tell you, because it’s a really wonderful resource and we’re all thankful for the efforts you put into partner healing and recovery.
